Hey all.
I just wanted to share how I just fixed a
0200 error, since the instructions aren't 100% on the list here.
The secondary error code was
0200 flashing 1 red light
I cleaned up the GPU and CPU and flushed under the GPU and CPU with alcohol (by the way, I've been using a diabetic syring.. it works wonders for getting into the small space without it spreading everywhere)
Then I attached the board to my griddle underheater, insulated all the caps and stuff with aluminum foil, and set it to 375.
Once the GRIDDLE is preheated (light goes off) I warm up the heat gun for a few seconds, blowing away from the board.
Then I concentrated mostly on the RAM chips and the GPU, but I also gave a good passover on the ANA/HANA chip and the Southbridge.
I use a Wagner heat gun on 500 degrees Fahrenheit
I spend about 5 minutes passing over everything, and then after that i'll cut the power to the griddle so it will start cooling, then i'll spend the next minute heatgunning from about a foot above the board and moving it in quick small circles so the heat won't be as hot. Then on the 7th minute I'll cut off the heatgun and set it aside and let the entire setup cool for about 45 minutes (usually i prepare the case while this is happening)
Then I sanded down the standoffs, drilled the holes for the clamp (the classic llama version), and slapped on some artic silver 5 thermal paste and put everything together and it started up just fine!
I hope this helped everyone, and I tried to add a comment to the
0200 error but i'm not sure if it went through. But wanted to share with everyone on the forums my success.
